DotA Allstar 6.68 has been released

You can download DotA Allstar 6.68 and view the DotA 6.68 changelogs.
We will see how the map develops. If it becomes the stable map before our festival begins, we will use DotA Allstar 6.68X or later.

1. Concept of Reliable vs Unreliable Gold.

"Reliable Gold" - Any bounty you get from hero kills or from the extra "aoe kill gold" bonus (feature from few patches ago) is added to your Reliable Gold pool.

"Unreliable Gold" - It is everything else (creep kills, neutrals, etc).

Dying can only take away gold from your Unreliable Gold pool and not from your Reliable Gold. Buying items uses up your Unreliable Gold first before using your Reliable Gold.

Thank you for supporting EOY DotA Festival 2010!

Until today, I had 7 teams registered.

I noticed that most of the teams are from sec 4.

I felt that our juniors know little about this event because we do not have any method to reach out to them.

They may be disappointed to miss this event. Hence, I want to urge all the sec 4s to tell your juniors, cca members, younger brothers(in HCI) or anyone you know that plays dota in lower sec about this event. This event should not be a sec-4-dominated-event.

I wrote this post to answer some of the questions that people may have

Q:Is there any registration fee?

A:No, it is completely free to join! There is no hidden cost.

Q:Why is there no prize?

A:This is a non-competitive festival.

Q:Why backdooring is allowed?

A:DotA has an anti-backdoor system which gives tower crazy regen when you try to backdoor.

Q:I cannot form a team of 5!

A:You can register as a solo participant at our registration page. We will help you form a team of 5.

Q:I am a beginner!

A:Every dota player is invited. As long you enjoy DotA, you should join this festival.

Q:It is before O Level Higher Chinese!

A:It should end before end of Oct so there is enough time for you to revise Chinese.
